Attendees
Attending the Virtual Conference
These are the main features of this year’s virtual conference:
- Live video streaming at player only or
player + playlist or used the embedded player on home page.
- Recorded videos of the talks/posters are available where you see this icon next to it
- Conference video links will appear after the talk is presented on the livestream
- Slack for Q&A with speakers, poster presenters, sponsors and other attendees with this icon
- This website: program
These three separate services will require you to login to each in order to access them (You will get an email with details).
Credentials and Logging In
- For the video streaming and program (pages and PDFs access), you should receive an email entitled “Your credentials for Hot Chips…” from us with your credentials.
- For slack, in the email from us, there should be a clickable invitation link to the https://hc2026.slack.com workspace. If you already have an account at slack using your same email then you can simply use that to sign in. If not, then you will need to create an account at slack.
Slack Channels
The Slack workspace is used for interaction among attendees, speakers and organizers during the conference. You are added to the channels for all conference presentations by default. Channels use a prefix so you can find what you are looking for.
Channels prefixed with a- are administrative:
- #a1-announcements is for announcements from the Hot Chips organizers
- #a2-help is where to ask for technical support: video, audio, slides
- #a3-general is for general discussion about Hot Chips
Most other channels are for Q&A on a specific presentation, and are linked from the icon beside that entry in the program:
-
c-is a conference talk- #c1-1-ibm-z_linuxone is the first talk in the first session
-
k-is a keynote- #k1-waymo-rosenband is Daniel Rosenband’s keynote on Monday
-
t-is a tutorial. This year each tutorial track shares one channel -
p-is a poster
